I'm a food snob. I really don't have enough money to eat the spendy stuff, however, so I express my haughtiness by snubbing prepackaged, twist and bake suburban wonder food like the tasteless pablum Pillsbury has produced for years. Hence my total shock and amazement when a few wandering web clicks brought me into the Pillsbury Bake off where haute chef wanna-be's are competing for the honor of America's Favorite Recipe. The contagious creativity of these raucous recipes is overwhelming. The finalists have a saviour flare that makes me think some linoleum tiled suburban kitchen just might become the birth place of culinary greatness. And the Spicy Citrus Shrimp and Black Bean Tacos have me salivating for more.
I'll have to find someone else to snub.
